Men Will Be Men...

I often wonder why it's less painful to get hurt by gorgeous/sexy men... (at least that has usually been my experience so far) and I have a theory about this...
With gorgeous men, our judgement tends to get clouded by hormones and attraction almost immediately... And often it's difficult to wrap our heads around the idea that the attraction is mutual without some sort of catch...
From a young age, we are taught that if a situation seems "too good to be true", it often truly is... So with attractive men, our instinct is to protect ourselves by trying to keep our distance, often by waiting for the other shoe to drop before completely trusting them... That means, when they break our heart or our ego, they don't get to break all of it, just some...

With average men on the other hand, it's rarely the hormones guiding our decisions... Usually we're not even attracted to them until we start to like something about their personalities. So when they disappoint, when they lie, it becomes much more hurtful, much more personal.... Because when they do it, they do so after luring us into a false sense of security/safety that we quickly get attached to before it is savagely ripped away from us with their lies... And usually since nothing seemed too good to be true from the start, we tend to get caught off guard and end up hurting much more deeply...

At least that's my theory... And if ever u need a reason to tell yourself to avoid an average man, feel free to borrow it. Because believe me when I tell you this, they wont hesitate to hurt you if given half the chance...

Men are pretty much the same under the hood... You would think not having a pretty exterior would make them humble and caring but no... It just makes them "seem" more harmless, thus making them way more dangerous compared to their prettier counterparts....

So dont say you weren't warned the next time average joe dumps you for a younger model, cheats on you or chooses poker or going to a strip club with his buddies over a romantic night with you... Because the second the honeymoon is over, he will do that, it's in his nature as a man to do that whether he has the packaging of an Abercrombie model or that of a "before picture" in a magazine for some sort of miracle diet or a desperately necessary esthetic surgery of some kind....
